About Us
The Besom in Sawston exists to enable Christians and churches to give their time, money, and small baby items to those in need in our community. We offer our time-givers opportunities to get involved in gardening and decorating projects as well as delivering baby bundles.
Based in Sawston, we also serve the areas of Pampisford, Babraham, Stapleford, Great and Little Shelford, Whittlesford, Duxford, Hinxton, and Ickleton. We hope as our time-givers serve their communities, they’ll experience the love of God and His compassion for those we serve.

Baby Bundles
We help people give their small baby items (0-6 months) to those who need them. We receive referrals from midwives, health visitors, social/ family workers, the John Huntingdon Charity, and Romsey Mill. We deliver our baby bundle boxes to the people referred to us once a month.
We would appreciate donations of the following items: bodysuits, mittens and socks, hats, bibs, blankets, unopened packets of disposable nappies, hooded bath towels, baby bath lotion, sponges, cotton wipes, and small baby toys. We would also be grateful for baby clothing donations that are new or nearly new.

Give Time
Do you enjoy putting together baby bundle packs? Or helping in the garden or with home decoration projects? Most of our time-givers help us with these tasks but we are always looking for more people to join our small friendly team to assist us with admin tasks, coordinating projects, going out on assessments and praying together.
