About Us

The Besom in Sawston exists to enable the church to give their time (gardening, decorating, DIY projects), money, small household goods and baby items to those in need. The Besom in Sawston was started in 2013 and we have helped churches and christians give their time, money and items to hundreds of people across Sawston, Pampisford, Babraham, Stapleford, Great and Little Shelford, Whittlesford, Duxford, Hinxton and Ickleton.

We are here to help you understand more about God's heart for generosity and to grow in your relationship with him as you help those most in need in our area.

The Besom in Sawston is a charitable organisation and none of our time-givers (volunteers) are paid.

We help people give their baby items (0-6 months) to those who need them. We receive referrals from midwives, health visitors, social/ family workers, the John Huntingdon Charity and Romsey Mill. We deliver our baby bundle boxes to the people referred to us once a month.

Baby Bundles in Sawston was launched in 2015 by Kate and Becca. The team is now made up of a number of Christians from local churches.
